Normally, I avoid reporting on products that get too much coverage, unless I have something different to say about it. Such is the case with the Nyko Wireless Nunchuk, a product that other gadget blogs are really bashing unnecessarily. I had a chance to try out the Nyko Wireless Nunchuk at CES 2008, and I absolutely adored it. A lot of gadget blogs are asking whether the product is really necessary, but I say: “Of course it is! This is the new millennium, and everything is going to be wireless by the time we reach the end of this millennium.” Clearly, the negative reviewers have not played some of the Wii games that I play. In response to the extraordinary success of the Eee PC ultraportable notebook, Asus has announced some big plans for the future. Not only do we have a number of new Eee PC models on the way but the Eee brand is going to be expanded to an entire family of products.

After a very healthy year in 2007, Asus is poised to keep growing and gain more ground with their low-cost computing solutions. The Eee PC addressed an important area, bringing a low cost to the ultraportable segment, but that formula can be used for other products as well. According to DigiTimes we will soon see “E” versions of a desktop, monitor, and television.

There is no doubt that everybody wants to have a cell phone, which would be resistant to any damage. Because of this a lot of different devices made of durable materials (titanium, gold and etc) were produced. Yet producers are still trying to find different ways to solve this problem. One of the concepts was offered by Robert Hayes and Johan Feenstra. According to their innovative approach to the cell phone production new devices should be very flexible; they think that this will significantly prolong cell phones’ useful time. To do so they are going to make these cell phones of new polymer that can easily change its shape. Thus, you will be able to do everything you want with this gadget or almost everything. Apparently, the device will let you switch your PC to “ecomode” at the press of a button, although exactly what that is and how it differs from your usual sleep or hibernation mode is a bit of a mystery. The button seemingly does something to your PC, however, as the FAQ warns that some older computers and certain HP PCs may have trouble reactivating due to BIOS issues. In a novel twist in trying to get new employment, one online startup is offering potential candidates cash for attending interviews.

Rather than going to an agency or submitting your resume to an online site, NotchUp.com would like you to use its service instead. You still submit your details, qualifications, and previous experience, but you also get to set a price for interview. Any prospective employers can then view your details and then, if interested, must pay the amount you have specified to gain an interview.

If the interview goes ahead, then NotchUp.com will pay the fee into your PayPal account minus a transaction charge of between 15-20%.

As the latest airline to begin offering free in-flight Wi-Fi, Continental has announced their plans to allow passengers to have limited wireless access. The service will be similar to the Jet Blue service and allow passengers to use e-mail or instant messaging. Sadly web browsing and even downloading attachments will not be allowed. A bit of good news does come with the Continental announcement, after you get board checking your email you will be able to amuse yourself by watching TV. The LiveTV service will offer 36 channels through DirecTV, first class passengers will be able to view for free while the economy-class passengers will have to pay $6.
