Believe it or not, Electric Motion Systems’ E+ actually isn’t the priciest electric bicycle we’ve ever seen, but at $3,495 sans chauffeur, it’s a far cry from being a bargain. Aside from boasting a relatively traditional frame, the unit gets powered by an EMS 1000-watt hub-mounted, brushless permanent magnet motor, which should provide 20 to 40 miles of fun on a single charge. Proving its intelligence, the E+ also supports regenerative braking, which enables the battery to get charged each time the rider slams the stoppers. You’ll also find a handlebar-mounted LCD display which shows speed, distance traversed, battery level and whether or not cruise control is enabled. Yeah. Cruise control, son. Suddenly, $3,495 seems quite reasonable, no?

Attention out of shape Europeans: you can now whip your body into a pristine temple of hotness thanks to the Wii Fit. Nintendo’s next pile of money has launched all over the UK and EU, so if you’ve been hankering for a good workout — but you’ve been too lazy to actually work out — now is your chance to shine. The exercise board and accompanying software will cost you £69.99 (around $142) in Britain, or €89.99 for the rest of the Union. If you’re waiting for it Stateside, it drops May 19th, and will run you a thrifty $89.99.

China has moved past the U.S. to become the world’s largest group of Internet users. Over 221 million Chinese currently use the Internet, which is up over 10 million from last year.

“Despite a rapidly increasing Internet population, the proportion of Internet users among the total population was still lower than the global average level.” said the Chinese Information Ministry”

As a whole 16-percent of China’s population are Internet users, compared to an average of 19.1-percent for the world’s total population. All things considers that is a lot of users especially considering the Chinese government heavily censors the net, using a complex system of filters as well as human monitors. Despite that, it is still used as tool by Chinese supporters outraged by the recent rise in anti-Chinese sentiments in the Western world as a result of China’s treatment of Tibet. Just last weekend ago a group of Chinese hackers were able to knock CNN’s website offline in protest of what they called the network’s anti-Chinese propaganda. The upcoming Olympic games in Beijing have also served to bring even more attention to the issue and has led to various protests by pro-Tibet supporters along the route of the Olympic torch relay.

The TomTom 2nd Edition Rider is a GPS for people who mostly use a motorcycle as their means of transportation. TomTom did not add a lot of key features present in their normal, automobile GPS models, and so, with this update comes many features missing in the 2nd Edition Rider.

Some of the main features included in this update are Map Share, the Help Me! menu, which is a safety feature to try and help when needed, map guarantees, and Tele Atlas maps which cover Western and Eastern Europe, and they come pre-installed. Another cool update is that you can find out the stats of your trip, such as average and max speeds, total distance traveled, as well as the distance from the starting point. If you plan on buying a 2nd Edition Rider now, it would come with all of these new features. However, you might be wondering if you can still get these features if you already own this GPS or the 1st Edition Rider. The answer is yes, all you have to do is download the software from TomTom Home, and it’s free.

It it set to sell in early May, and the UK and Ireland model will sell for 349.99 Euros, and the European version will cost 399.99 Euros. It seems like it was about time TomTom added these features to this GPS, because it wasn’t fair for the bikers, as they missed out on a lot of key features.

The pearl white laptop offers two designs for young fans one has the Kitty flying an airplane and other features Hello Kitty surrounded by flowers. The lappie is powered by Intel Celeron 540 at 1.86GHz, 1GB RAM, 80GB hard drive, DVD drive, Firewire, 3 in 1 memory card slot and a 15.4 inch WXGA screen (1280 x 800). It is preloaded with exclusive Hello Kitty wallpapers, screensavers and sounds. The battery offers a disappointing 60 minutes of running time. The Hello Kitty laptop measures 365×264×41mm and weighs 2.6kg. Sanrio has already started reservations for enthusiastic fans as the laptop goes on sale by May 25 for 147,000 Yen ($ 1470).

Back in 06 we reported on the ESG Gryphon Personal Flying Wing, and it had military applications written all over it, or, a cool opening scene to the next James Bond Flick. The latest version, rechristened the Gryphon Attack Glider by SPELLCO (the new company name), has slimmed down the weight by 30 pounds and also offers the ability to carry up to 100 pounds of onboard gear and even carry weapons hard points for mini missiles and bombs. Yowsa. And with a maximum glide speed of 135 MPH, that makes this not only an attack glider, but a serious special ops platform for attacking well behind enemy lines.

Pilots wear a specially designed helmet that offers a heads-up display and provides on-board oxygen for those high altitude HALO JUMPS. And with its ability to coast as far as 125 miles inland, jumpers can launch from any air platform outside enemy airspace and glide to their target with a tiny radar cross section. Landing is accomplished by separating the wing from the parachute pack with the pull of a standard rip cord. As the pilot slows his descent, the attached wing dangles from a safety cord to land nearby. Which is good if you don’t want to attract attention by sending it out of control to land where you don’t want it. And while there is a commercial version of the Gryphon for parachute sport enthusiasts, if the company manages to create a fly by wire steering option (it currently steers by hand controllers) and mini jet turbines to increase its range, the Gryphon may go “black” for good.

But where’s the fun in that?

I honestly can’t say that I miss the cassette tape one bit. Sure, I didn’t have a ton of time to really enjoy the format before CDs took over, but anything that you have to rewind isn’t very much fun. Some people still have fond memories of those little plastic cassettes, and want to show off their love. This Cassette MP3 player is perfect for such people.
